I have a new store location. Nick Albee.com was a little too difficult to manage and promote. I was so excited to hear that the folks at Amazon loved my new idea of back lit art and they offered me a free spot on their new "Handmade at Amazon" location. I have most of my oil originals and prints for sell there as well. Check out the new store front by clicking on the link above.

This is a pieces that I did of my oldest daughter Brin. It was my first time sitting down and really concentrating
I work at a youth crisis center where I have little time to draw. I started drawing the kids as they sat and played games but they would move way too much and the pictures came out funny looking. So, I started drawing the pictures of their family members from their albums. The piece above is of one of the boys little brothers. It is drawn with a #2 pencil and blended with my finger. I was able to do this in just a few hours.
Here is a work in progress. Its a shot of my daughter Brin at 3 years old I will post the finished piece as soon as it is done.

"Double Rainbow" (right)
A close up of the last strike this guy will ever make. His companion on the other hand, looks on to hunt another day.
"Foragers of the Fall" (Below)
A buck and two doe forage up wind from the fly fisher in the fall colored quakies.
"The Attack from Below"
Its amazing how oil paint allows so many different looks as the lighting changes around it through out the day. I'm not happy with the lighting of this shot but it gives you a better look at the detail.
I took the opportunity to make myself the fly fisherman. As you can see this is the first time I put a person in a painting. Notice I'm not holding a pole, the painting is still wet in this shot so I have to wait for it to dry before I paint in the thin dark line. Correcting mistakes on a dry canvas is a lot easier.
Any of these posted shots of the piece can be made into prints. Let us know what title you are interested in.

This original is made from a print of "Moon lit Cove". As my ability to paint has grown, I have had the opportunity to take prints and "better" them with new techniques that I had required over the years. Contact us for purchasing the original and prints.
